Re: Cast Your Vote McCain or Obama.

McCain is the easy choice for conservative Christians. Although he is not ideal for president I would say he is the safer choice of the two. As for the Barack Hussein Obama comments: It is his middle name! Feel free to use McCain's middle name if you can find out what it is. It is not our fault that a psycho murder maniac had the same name as Obama.

I don't like it either, but that's the way it goes. I found out a couple of years ago that most of the stuff in the grocery store (even the "good" stuff) was a deadly poison to me. I still get made walking through a grocery store because almost all of the "choices" are forbidden to me.

But to stay alive and to have any sort of part of the life I've been given I must play along with some rules that have been forced upon me.

I don't think I will enjoy most of the choices I have to make for the rest of my life - so in both the grocery market and the political market place I will have to learn to accept some things that I cannot change.

It's either that or have my vote end up tallying for a guy I even more strongly disagree with.
You seem to understand and accept our system. Unfortuately there are some on this board who will vote for neither thus possibily allowing some one to change our lives completely. So sad.

Re: Cast Your Vote McCain or Obama.

For those who are viewing this message: I am not one to say that it is not Christian to vote. However in this particular election neither of the major candidates were worthy of a vote. On one hand you had Barack Obama who is pro-abortion(pro-choice) and on the other you had John McCain who was (until recently) also known as pro-abortion(pro-choice). The fact that he changed his stance was only so that he could try and solicit the votes of those who had moral standards. But even if you take him at his word and now he is Pro-Life, he is still for embryonic stem-cell research. If you understand that life begins at conception, then you know that this is nothing but experimenting on a baby. The Word of God says six things doth the Lord hate, yea seven are an abomination unto Him... hands that shed innocent blood. This is in Proverbs. Yes there are other issues such as economics but to say that economics is equal to or greater than the issue of abortion, is a personification of the scripture: "The love of money is the root of all."

For those who abstained from casting your votes and who kept your hearts clean: God says "Well done my good and faithful servant".

For those who cast your vote: I can only say this do as the people of Nineveh did when they were made aware of their sins. Fast, Pray, Repent "Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not?" (Jonah 3:9) "For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?"(I Peter 4:17) God is Angry with His people. You have chosen Barrabas, a murderer and a thief, over the God of Glory "Who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth?" Galatians 3:1.

Isaiah 63:1-6 says: Who is this that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that is glorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save. Wherefore art thou red in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat? I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment. For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come. And I looked, and there was none to help; and I wondered that there was none to uphold: therefore mine own arm brought salvation unto me; and my fury, it upheld me. And I will tread down the people in mine anger, and make them drunk in my fury, and I will bring down their strength to the earth.

God's fierce wrath is going to come through, and who shall be able to stand. Repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand!

I disagree with you.

Suppose I agree the highest voting issue is the preservation of innocent life. Under a McCain presidency, there would be a much better chance of replacing soon-to-retire Supreme Court judges with candidates who are more sympathetic to STATES RIGHTS. (The repeal of Roe v Wade would merely give states the right to individually decide abortion "rights.")

There is no such hope under Obama.

If you didn't vote due to your moral conscience, fine, but God isn't congratulating you any more than those who DID vote due to their moral conscience.
