The man who produced this documentary & wrote the book of the same name was on our local talk radio to talk about the issue of the "Massive US Federal Debt" and lack of "Personal Savings."
Canada in the early 90's was running an annual deficit of about 30 Billion for years.
In 93 a Government came to power and said we need to balance the books.
There was "Tax Increases" & "Spending Cuts" there were howls & protests, but the book's were balanced and in the last 15 years almost 80-90 Billion Dollars of debt was paid off.
Every year for the past 10-12 years there has been a surplus.
This is a movie and book which was produced 1-1 & 1/2 years ago.
How prescient.
Whoever gets elected it will be tough times ahead.
