If Obama loses, there could be riots in protest. If he wins there might be boisterous celebrations that need Police intervention (similar to what we see when sports teams win championships and the fans' celebrations get out of control)

I personally see rioting if Senator Obama wins. There has been many the off color comments around the water cooler at work about "if 'he' wins". Maybe not rioting in the traditional sense, more like a fight that breaks out and spreads between the racial lines because someone is mad that there is "color" in the "white" house. I dont think I have heard the "N" word in my entire life, as much has I have since the polls have indicated Senator Obama is in the lead. I got an email of a picture of a motorcyclist in Florida wearing a shirt that said "N... please, its called the white house", and I am sure that isn't the only type of shirt like that out there. So I dont see it being a problem with "blacks not getting thier way" as someone stated above, I see it being a problem when the racists out there see his win as an attack on thier white power in this country.

Added security precautions might be needed because of ....strong emotions on the Republican side , huh? (I guess Mr. Fair-and-balanced hasn't noticed all the strong emotions on the Democratic side of things.)

If you leave the statement the way I said it "strong emotions even on the Republican side"...it is in keeping with my opinion that there are strong emotions on both sides. I am hearing people say some pretty incredible things about an Obama Presidency and my statement was that added security precautions are probably a good idea either way.
And I love you too bro. And I am fair and balanced.

I personally, do not see rioting as a result of this election. However, to be honest, with some of the strong emotions I've seen even on the Republican side of things and what significance some of them are placing on an Obama Presidency, added security precaution is probably not a bad idea.
Personally, I think the massive undertakings at voter fraud currently being perpetrated by ACORN and the like are JUST CAUSE for riots. But they should be quick riots, and conducted at local ACORN offices.
I don't believe that it is right to riot or be violent or destructive. I especially do not excuse those who would do so for their prejudice or racism. But I think people DO have a right to be mad enough to act about ACORN's tactics.
Some accounts estimate that there are HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of illegitimate voter registrations in battleground states. Many more will come at the last minute in an effort to overwhelm registrar staff. In their minds, the ends justify the means, and they don't mind if a few of their people end up with fines or sentences. They'll be happy if just 1/2 or 1/3 of their fraudulent ballots are counted.
I know it is prejudiced of me, but I rather expect that there will be problems in urban areas when Obama loses.
