McCain's VP pick - Sarah Palin?
Another strong consideration. She doesn't appear to have any negatives only pluses.
Quote:
At 44, Sarah Louise Heath Palin is both the youngest and the first female governor in Alaska's relatively brief history as a state. She's also the most popular governor in America, with an approval rating that has bounced around 90 percent.
This is due partly to her personal qualities. When she was leading her underdog Wasilla high school basketball team to the state championship in 1982, her teammates called her "Sarah Barracuda" because of her fierce competitiveness.
Two years later, when she won the "Miss Wasilla" beauty pageant, she was also voted "Miss Congeniality" by the other contestants.
Sarah Barracuda. Miss Congeniality. Fire and nice. A happily married mother of five who is still drop dead gorgeous. And smart to boot.
But it's mostly because she's been a crackerjack governor, a strong fiscal conservative and a ferocious fighter of corruption, especially in her own party.
Ms. Palin touches other conservative bases, some of which Sen. McCain has been accused of rounding. Track, her eldest son, enlisted in the Army last Sept. 11. She's a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association who hunts, fishes and runs marathons. A regular churchgoer, she's staunchly pro-life.

After going over all the VP choices, she looks the best for me and as the article stated, it would help if he announced her now! I think it would be great!!!

Re: McCain's VP pick - Sarah Palin?
BTW, it would be a notoriously smart move for the disgruntled Hillary voters!
Okay, two negatives. She has no foreign policy credentials and she is largely unknown outside of Alaska.
Hmmmmmm.
No, not Liberman, in any case.

She is against gay marriage, but is also against discrimination against gays. Same as McCain.
I am thinking that McCain will need to position someone that would be acceptable to take over as President in the event that would happen during his Presidency. I'm not sure we have time to put Sarah out there before November, after thinking about it.
She is a fairly good candidate, but being an unknown could hurt her.
We keep looking.........

Have you been borrowing Ferd's medication?
While McCain would probably love to have Lieberman on the ticket he knows good and well that he already has very lukewarm support from the core of the Republican party. Putting a Democrat, even if technically they are an independent now, on the ticket would not work.
I am really proud of Lieberman for standing up for his principles when it comes to National Security. He is just about the only major Democrat national figure who did not turn out to be a yellow belly pacifist.
However Lieberman is still a dyed in the wool Democrat liberal when it comes to social issues. That dog ain't gonna hunt with the Republican base.
