Re: How many ABI grads on here?

I graduated in '82. I was class president all 3 yrs and was the honor student. We had 106 in our first year class and graduated, I think 86. It was one of the last large classes. Steve & Barb Willoughby were in my class as was "Bubby" Martin, Supt. of OK and a host of other wonderful people.

Re: How many ABI grads on here?

ABI Class of '87 - JCM was a mess the years prior to my attending ABI (early 80s). I think it might have progressed a bit better while I was at ABI. I am friends with some guys that graduated during those mid 80s years. JCM was the "hot shot" school. ABI was mostly a bunch of no name Midwestern salt of the earth types. No playboys and BMWs and Mercedes in the parking lot.

"Better to have little with the fear of the Lord than to have plenty with chaos."

ABI is still standing. JCM is a ghost town.

Were you the ONLY honor student?

Yes. The "honor student" was chosen by the faculty each graduating year. That was different from the valedictorian or the student with the highest gpa. That student, in my class, was Ray Starr. He was first and I was second, I think.

Re: How many ABI grads on here?

I went to ABI but did not graduate.
I attended ABI for the 1956/1957 year only.
My intention was to return in the fall of 1957 but that did not happen.
I never went back there.
