I have done that. It should be fine flushing it with water. Why doesn't your friend call the eye doctor real quick and ask?

May be more serious. He has some kind of eye condition.. had cataract.. and cornea transplant few yrs ago

Some cleaners can cause eye infections. Have you tried to google it or maybe just call Sears, or another optical place and ask.
