Add to the word list Potawatomi (I think that's how it's spelled), Kewaunee, Allouez, and several others that I won't embarrass myself trying to spell them out.

Also, if you know what a bubbler is, you might live in Wisconsin.
or Shawano, where the state campgrounds are.... i heard one of the local hotels changed ownership and are now trying to gouge the "Pentecostal" crowd for their week of camp....

And if you know how to pronounce Shawano, you might live in Wisconsin.....LOL!

I'm checking this out, and since I live in the mecca here, I haven't heard this.

I also checked with LR and she hasn't heard that either. Nothing would surprise me here, however. Dr. Roy's crowd runs at least one of the motels, but it's not a recent ownership change. LR said that Comfort Inn & Suites just changed management, but she isn't sure about ownership.

There are several hotels/motels around here. If I had a bigger house, I'd rent out rooms....LOL!

Your brother lives here? What area, may I ask?

I just moved here about 18 months ago after living in Illinois my entire life. Never thought I'd ever move north!

a town called Slinger.... Not too far from Milwaukee...(sp) I've been through Illinois enough to know you are a blessed person now to be living up there where you are! Wisconsin is one of the prettiest places I've ever been too. I lived there for a short time. about 6 months.... I wanna go back! I really like it mostly because where I was, it was soo clean.

I was born and raised near Chicago, but spent the last ten years in southern Illinois, which you might know better by the term "God's country".

Where I live now, it reminds me a lot of southern Illinois, except there aren't as many trees here, but instead, more fields. I had no idea Wisconsin was this beautiful.

That's only about 40 minutes from me. Yes I measure distance by time. That Foxworthy list is so funny and true. LOL.
