Leaving Today for Hong Kong!
I would love to be added to your prayer lists. We do three services today here in Jackson and Memphis and then we fly out tonight, headed to Hong Kong. We will finally (Lord willing) have our long-awaited meeting with our head pastor from the Philippines, since it never has worked out for us to get to his country. He is also bringing our missions director from L & T Philippines, so we are excited about spending some time with them, strategizing for the future and talking through lots of things.
We know nothing about HK, other than what I've heard people say on here, and what we've read in Frommer's, so just pray that we get there and back safely and that our time would be productive. Thanks!

We'll be praying that your trip will be enjoyable, safe and, above all else, fruitful. Please convey to the believers there that they are in our prayers.

They don't have General Tso's chicken there, so don't bother looking... I just got back a few weeks ago. I found it pretty easy to get around and used their train system (never bothered with a taxi while I was there). I found it very crowded, but the people were friendly. There is a Hong Kong tourists guide that you can download to your PDA that has street level GPS maps, common phrases, etc.

When shopping, don't forget to look up... many stores are not on the ground floor and you would never know they are there if you don't look up.
The airport train to Causeway bay costs 400 HK dollars (which is about 10 bucks I think) and then you change to another train and can get just about anywhere for 10 HK dollars.

Thank you for the info! I bookmarked it so I can look at it during the week. I really haven't had time to get excited about this trip, but I'm starting to, as I sit in the airport.
