Which Side will you Choose if you're a Saint?
With all the talk of churches pulling out of the organization, I wonder which side the saint will follow.
Will they stay with their church and whatever the pastor chooses OR look for something else OR start something else?
For me the most important thing is to be in a church that is a true worshipping church. That is most important.
I have a friend that had a vision of churches moving from one side of a red line to the other. The Lord showed my friend that He was separating the true worhipping churches from those that are not, AND that He was drawing His Spirit away from those that are NOT true worshipping churches.
So for ME I only am interested in going to a TRUE WORSHIPPING church!
What about you?
Where do you stand?

I would imagine that good saints are going to stay with their shepherd.

I didn't choose my church based on the organization, but based on the pastor. But as far as I know, he's not changing his affiliation.

my pastor has enough sense to stay put..there will be no "pulling out"
he said he's got more important things to worry about, like seeing folks saved....let those that want to mess with tv do it, folks are going to do what they are going to do...regardless of some vote.

Probably most will. In fact, unless they live in a city where there are more than one to choose from they may not have a choice.
Although, there may be a very "few" that this would influence them to change.

I explained my decision in a business meeting. I don't normally discuss "UPC issues" with my people, but, since THIS issue was of such a nature that I decided to drop my license, I felt like they needed to know.
I gave them my personal history (I was opposed to it BEFORE I sought license -- the UPC took a stand against it BEFORE I sought license -- I never would have sought license had they decided otherwise). I wanted them to know that I would no longer be affiliated with the UPCI. I provided them the opportunity to choose how they wised to respond.
I live in a metro area. There are MANY other churches within driving distance, some of which are (in my opinion) VERY liberal. The saints I pastor are staying put. NONE of them want to leave because of an affiliation (or lack thereof). They are part of this church because of the church -- NOT because of the UPCI. We will continue to be who we are and what we are. The card in my pocket is totally irrelevant to our existence. They understand that, so my decision has no bearing on their membership here.
