dead God?

I went to an event a couple nights ago and in one of the songs the words were " I believe in the one God who died", what? who thinks that God died on the cross? Wasn't it the humanity of Jesus that died? How can God die if He's "from everlasting to everlasting''? I don't get it.

Wrong title- dead god, little g.

God never died, unless you believe in the Trinity.

the humanity died? So a person did not die but a humanity did?
What does that mean? Question WHO died on the cross? Was it God or was it someone OTHER than God?

  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

God did not die. He is eternal. Eternal means there is life forever in the past and forever in the future

Remember only 3 days meaning.... Jesus did not die forever. Jesus Himself will raise it up.

John 2:19 (KJV)
Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Note: Jesus only took the keys of hell and of death.

Rev. 1:18 (KJV)
I am he that liveth, and was dead;
and, behold,
I am alive for evermore,
Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
.
.
.
.
.
.
Note: carefully diagnose this scripture.....
Saying.....
Acts 13:30 (KJV)
But God raised him from the dead:

God raised him from the dead?....Mmmmm what did Jesus said...."I" (Jesus) will raise it up? Amazing!

John 2:19
Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.
.
.
.
.
.
.
ONE GOD!

Who is the Comforter? The Father - John 14:26
Who is the Father? Holy Ghost - John 14:26
Who is the Holy Ghost? Jesus Matthew 1:18
Who is Jesus? The Word - John 1:14
Who is the Word? The word was God -John 1:1
.
.
.
John 14:26 (KJV)
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost,
whom the Father will send in my name,
he shall teach you all things,
and bring all things to your remembrance,
whatsoever I have said unto you.
.
.
.
.
.

1Ti 3:16 -
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

That's why I ask questions to the things I am ignorant of.
(''Wasn't it the humanity of Jesus that died?'')

Thanks be to God that total knowledge is not a requirement of salvation.

It was ONLY the humanity that died. Not the GODHOOD. God did not even die for only three days. God never died. Is Jesus God? yes. He is also a HUMAN. And only the HUMANITY died.
