Job: Called to victory

Job
God has decreed many laws, statutes, commandments, and rules, and you
have come to believe that it is impossible, really impossible for you to obey
God. Therefore in this New Year, what you have done is compromised and
have decided, instead, to make a resolution (or two) that seem easier for
you to keep. And, like you, most of us will forget them within a week or so.
It’s a good thing we have not made those resolutions as promises to God!

Beloved, God’s laws, statutes, commandments, etc., were enacted so we
could learn His will; NOT to entrap us. Matter of fact, you and most believers
would be surprised to learn that all those laws, rules, commandments, and
statutes were actually written to ensnare Satan in his own guile. It’s just
that we were used as a means to disguise what God was actually doing!

Let’s take a minute to look into what the Book of Job is really saying. There
was a time when “…the sons of God came to present themselves before the
LORD, and Satan came also among them.” Notice that Satan did not appear
before God, but HID HIMSELF among God’s sons. Why? Satan is not allowed
to be in the presence of God; therefore he must hide himself behind God’s
children. Satan knows God loves us (His creation) and seduces and entices
man to disobey God, because he knows God will not destroy him without
destroying us.
