RUSH: Here is a salient point or part of the Trump speech in Poland today that sets up what I think is phenomenal. It’s audio sound bite number 6. Here it is.

THE PRESIDENT: Your oppressors tried to break you, but Poland could not be broken. And when the day came on June 2nd, 1979, and one million Poles gathered around Victory Square for their very first Mass with their Polish pope, that day every communist in Warsaw must have known that their oppressive system would soon come crashing down. They must have known it at the exact moment during Pope John Paul II’s sermon when a million Polish men, women, and children suddenly raised their voices in a single prayer. A million Polish people did not ask for wealth. They did not ask for privilege. Instead, one million Poles saying three simple words: “We want God.”

RUSH: And he’s right. That was a huge moment in the destruction of Soviet communism, Pope John Paul, part of the troika with Margaret Thatcher, Ronaldus Magnus, bringing down the Soviet Union. And Pope John Paul II, a fervent anti-communist went to Poland as pope, and the country went crazy for him. But after that comment is where Trump got to the heart of his speech.

He said, “The prerequisite for the success of Western civilization is not material riches. Economic prosperity and military might on their own are not sufficient. The critical leaven is the confidence in core Western values, such things as free speech, the equality of women, respect for individual rights, the rule of law, the affirmation of faith and family. Hence, the fundamental question facing Western nations today is whether the people continue to nurture the cultural self-confidence in those fundamental values. If they do, the West is unbeatable. If those values dissipate, the West is lost. As long as we know our history,” Trump said, “We will know how to build our future.”

Then he spent a lot of time rehearsing Poland’s heroic resistance to Nazi atrocities in the Warsaw uprising, heroic resistance to Soviet aggression. Roger Kimball, who heard the speech, wrote at PJ Media: “Not since Ronald Reagan has an American president gone so clearly to the nub of what makes the West great and what threatens that greatness.”

And he’s talking about Western civilization, Western values, American culture. This distinct American culture that resulted from our founding that is now under assault, not just from enemies around the world, but from enemies within. That distinctive American culture which has given freedom its greatest repository and chance in the world is under assault from the American media and its agents in the Democrat Party and in academia and in Hollywood. The threat to American Western civilization is now primarily domestic, and it has to be beaten back if we are to survive. It’s a battle to the death, folks, and we’re smack-dab in the middle of it. And Trump’s the only president since Reagan to acknowledge it.

Well, I have to give him credit where credit is due. That's a great point he made. Good on Trump.

I think the speech writer did an excellent job.

But Western civilization and values aren't distinctly "American". In fact, America is far more immoral and gratuitous than most nations. In fact, our brazen immorality, culture of violence, exploitation, and oppression offends even most European sensitivities. The core principles of Western Civilization as described in the speech are:

- free speech
- the equality of women
- respect for individual rights
- the rule of law
- the affirmation of faith and family

The core principles of Western culture are found throughout Europe, and in fact were expanding in Europe before they became the norm here. Yes, blacks were free in Europe before they were in the United States. Women had rights in Europe before they did in the United States. European nations have had more women presidents, the United States hasn't had one. Europe insures equal pay and a living wage for women. Europe's labor movement gave workers a voice that has been virtually silenced in the United States. Individual rights are also under assault in the United States. Corporations have been awarded the right to regulate the very lives of their employees even when they are off the clock. For example, many major corporations have adopted a no smoking policy wherein employees must submit to nicotine tests or be fired. Those who smoke are fired, even if they only smoke when off the clock. Corporations have partnered with corrupt politician to be rewarded imminent domain rights in order to seize private land from those unwilling to sell. And personal rights of minorities, gays, and non-Christians face near constant challenge. Corporations gained "corporate personhood" by virtue of SCOTUS rulings and have used their money and political influence to essentially gain more liberties than the average citizen who is actually a person. As for the rule of law, corporations pay politicians to write and pass the laws they want. This isn't a nation of, "We the people", any longer. It's, "We the corporations". Faith and family is also under assault, on the other end of the extreme churches and Christian businesses face the possibility of being sued by gay rights groups who wish to take their viewpoint to the extreme. The law often makes divorce far more lucrative than maintaining a marriage, especially for women. Christian parents are often targeted for unreasonable investigation regarding their parenting philosophy. And the unholy marriage between the church and political agendas on both sides have poisoned the waters so badly, most churches are only political action committees that tell Sunday school stories on Sunday.

While Rush wants to blame the Democrats, under paid professors and school teachers, and Hollywood... the truth is... it's BOTH the Democrats and the Republicans who have sunk America. Why? Corporate power. Both parties have caved in to corporate money. The Middle Class is on life support and I don't see it making a come back. Our children and grandchildren will be the first generation of Americans to be worse off than their parents. I foresee laws overturning the minimum wage and corporations paying people virtually nothing, people having to work three to four jobs just to eat, and wide spread public health issues due to lack of medical care. The wage-slavery that is coming with obliterate the family in that parents will not be able to be home with their kids as they have work nearly 18 hours a day to simply survive. In one, maybe two, generations America be much like Brazil, a nation without a middle class. We will see extreme wealth and lavish luxuries enjoyed by corporate executives and the ultra wealthy, and an impoverished population that serves as only a cheap labor pool. This is the agenda of the corporate elite. It is a form of slavery and servitude packaged as "freedom". It's a divide and conquer strategy that will leave every single working citizen under paid, under insured, and under educated.

America is well on it's way to becoming Brazil, with our own distinctly flare. We will be like a wild-west society of loners and gun carriers, driving pickups, without healthcare, insurance, and working for slave wages, in service to an "Omnicorp", a conglomerate of private corporate powers who have bought the government, direct legislation, and set public policy.

It's over folks. The America dream is DEAD.

Nope. But it is coming. Christ will return, glorify His bride, subdue the kingdoms of this world, and establish His Kingdom on earth. And we will rule and reign with Him for 1,000 years.
