It's hard to view Trump as anything other than an arrogant, self-serving person. Too hard to poll this one.

No. My issues weren't with his temperament as much as they were with the fact that he has no track record of being a consistent conservative. Even during the campaign, several issues were constantly changing. His praise of dictators and tyrants, along with his talk of wanting to restrict free speech would have been a negative even if spoken in a respectful tone.

Doubtful. From what Trump and his supporters claimed, #NeverTrump was a very small amount of voters. Negligible, with no real effect on the election.

Honestly, towards the end of the election, yes. I believe a lot of #NeverTrump switched to the "silent Trump voter" which was discussed in the days after the election. I don't believe there were enough #NeverTrump left to make much of a difference.

I know of a few people who were #NeverTrump, but told me later that once they went to the polls and saw the ballot, they voted for Trump because "#NeverHillary beat #NeverTrump."

What interests me is the "silent Trump voter." Voters who weren't vocal or much involved with the race out of fear of backlash they may receive for supporting Trump, but who voted for him nonetheless. I believe the "silent Trump voter" did make a difference in the election and were more than #NeverTrump.

I gauged his temperament to be why he was inconsistent. IOW, the issues and his temperament went hand in hand, IMO.

But, I agree with your point in the above post, some "NeverTrumpers" ended up voting for him. So, in regard to the silent voters, that turned out to be true. My husband ended up changing his mind in the booth, even though I did not.
