Thank you so much for bringing those two finely delivered references for us to use.
Should we note how
Psalm 119:11 so clearly, as is the intent of The Lord, uses the word "might" to convey the possibility of of David not sinning? The possibility of not sinning by hiding God's Word in one's heart is far from your self generated idea of being "kept" by The Word.
As well, 119:11 does not use any such word as "kept." Remember also, Poor Old David had only the Torah for instruction to "possibly" avoid sin, and did not have the Word of Jesus or the Power of an indwelling Holy Spirit. Did you really think The Torah can "keep you from sin?" Lol.
And,
Romans 10:8 is indeed comforting for those who need merely warm comfort. However, if you think
Romans 10:8 is part of your faith, are you then able to remember all of God's Word as it is "in your mouth, and in your heart?" Why, in fact you cannot. You cannot even remember Jesus' Commands from His Sermon on the Mount. Therefore,
Romans 10:8 has nothing to do with you personally.
And, since it says nothing about a Believer being "kept,"
Romans 10:8 serves nothing within this thread.
