I mean't the service I was going to was not UPC it was AWA.It was the AWA that was having service in the old LUtheran church.

Jimmy Star Davis pastored in Lamont. How do I learn more about him ?

He pastored in Fresno in 1945 until 1947. Did he have a diary ? Did he say anything about Selma Nelson ?? She retired ( as pastor) from the church but still attended it until her death in 1972.

Elder Juan Alvear Sr. (Father of Jonathan Alvear) Pastored there some time after Elder Davis. I'm not sure who was after eld. Davis but eld. Alvear came sometime after. When Alvear died, eld. Paul Blatto took the church. When he died, various good men filled in to help. Now Elder Dennis Mantooth pastors there, the town is now called Lamont, and the Church is Called Apostolic Tabernacle. Great Church, very Apostolic in every way!

There was a Bible college of sorts at this church. Looks like around the year 1978. I have not done any research on it, yet. If it were ran by a lady, it would be the third small post high school Oneness college in San Joaquin Valley.

Who would have thought ??
