Prayers for those in the path of Hurricane Sandy

Praying for those in the path of the storm.

Yes.

They say this is a storm unlike any ever before.

Praying.

I checked in at my farm board a while ago... lots of those folks are more prepared than most but they also have the responsibility of livestock and many children. Please remember them too.

Based on the philosophy of some who post on AFF who think you should not vote for a better Government because you should have faith in God I am guessing they also think it is foolish for these people to take precautions against the storm. I mean God will just take care of them right? No need to move to high ground or put plywood over those window panes!

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Well... I guess you'll know whether your house is built on the rock... or not...

On a serious note though... this is a very deadly, vicious storm, and will indeed be praying for all those people in its path.

Hoping to hear from anyone in the path of the storm if they can share with us how they are doing....

It's pretty good now in Dover, Delaware. It passed pretty much straight through us, the worse hitting between 2-7PM We got about 10" of rain; heavy winds are now subsiding. The questionable trees around my house withstood...thank you Jesus! Wind gusts hit our area at about 75mph with sustained at about 50. Delaware's beaches took a beating. No known fatalities!

It's pretty quiet out there now...almost eerie.

Re: Prayers for those in the path of Hurricane San

NBC, who is the absolute paragon of truth, says tonight that 4 million people are without electricity. So even allowing for NBC's vast inaccuracy in reporting anything that means at least 2 million people are without power.

Unless you have a generator and plenty of fuel along with plenty of water, food, and toilet paper being without electricity in this kind of mess has to be absolutely miserable.
