What this article doesn't address is the fact that Obama has submitted comprehensive immigration reform to Congress, months ago. However they have simply refused to move on it.

Furthermore, the article only talks about one aspect of the Executive Order-- the children.

His Executive Order also includes rights for men and women who serve our country in the our military forces who happen to not be citizens. I think this is a positive thing to do.


He bypassed Congress, but I'm not the first or the last person to say that the House has engaged in nothing less than partisan obstructionism when it comes to many or most of the ideas of our democratically elected President-- a President who, despite his left of center stance, was elected by the majority of our citizens.

JD - the main point that hit me was the fact that these individuals are still in limbo, with no long term resolution for their problem.
The order could be rescinded or modified at any time.
Not to mention the fact that this was taking powers delegated to Congress and using it himself.
As BHO himself had stated a year or so ago.
