Re: Newt to Suspend Campaign on May 1!
I already posted this information. And why reboot? I'm not supporting Romney - ever. I might vote for him in the fall. Depends on how many more lies he tells between now and then.
If he apologizes to Newt for his dishonest, lying character assassination and/or pays off his debt, I might be inclined to vote for him.
Newt knew it was a long shot and so did I, but I supported him because I believed and still believe him to be the best candidate.
I certainly wasn't going to go for a candidate just because I thought he could win. If I did that, I would have voted for Obama last time around.
And I certainly wasn't going to go for a candidate that the Elitist crowd endorsed. I mean, it's like, "Here's your sign." LOL!
But, go for it. Status quo is working in America. We can't tell much difference between the parties anymore.

Sensitive much? The smileys were meant to be funny.
As for already posting the info--well, I thought it deserved it's own thread.

Contradictory statement--voting is supporting. What are you going to do? Vote for Obama? Refuse to vote at all? Write in a name (which is essentially voting for Obama)?

Yes, I'm so sure.

Supporting is giving him money and campaigning for him. Won't be doing that. If Obama wins, he wins. Same difference on a lot of policy issues.

You're so sure what? What, PO? In my house, when you say "I'm so sure" it means you think someone is lying. I OBVIOUSLY wanted this to be its own thread, which is why I made it its own thread. Why else would I make it its own thread? Rest assured, DARLING, that the little reboot/PO comment was an afterthought. I read the breaking news alert at CBSNews.com, came here to see if it had been posted and decided I didn't want to bury it in an existing thread.
Btw, the "condescending coffee cup" is pel's schtick.

Re: Newt to Suspend Campaign on May 1!
From The Washington Post:
“Over the next few days we're going to look realistically at where we're at,” Gingrich said in a speech in Concord Tuesday night. He said he would assess the race “as somebody who's a unifier and somebody who's realistic.”
On Wednesday, Gingrich told a Charlotte civic club that “it’s pretty clear” that former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney will be the Republican nominee, but that he would continue to campaign as a “citizen” in the state.
“He truly believes he would be the best candidate for the party but recognizes the objective reality that recent primary voters have not agreed and intends to be loyal to the party,” said one Gingrich adviser. “He is being responsible, thinking this through, and communicating with the proper people before rushing to a microphone.”

Re: Newt to Suspend Campaign on May 1!
I haven't looked into the accusation of lies on Romney's part, he may have and I don't like any leader or potential one who lies. Believe me, out of the final four, Romney was my least favorite. Santorum was my first choice, then it would've been Paul, then Gingrich, then Romney.
My reservations about Gingrich had to do with his past infidelities, although that in and of itself is not a complete deal breaker for me. It's that coupled with his arrogance that kept me from voting for him. But based on your criteria, honesty, how could you look beyond Newt's three marriages and the cheating he committed on his wife? And he was cheating while crucifying Clinton for doing the same---add hypocrisy to the list.
