Whether we torture or not does not change the fact, that our enemies do. We don't, and even though many believe that water boarding is torture, we did that only a few times.
Having said that, one should consider what could happen to our military, our embassies, and even people in the US if a terror attack is being planned and if we don't prevent it. Those wounded in such an attack will be tortured for the rest of their lives with all kinds of injuries. So, which stance is more moral? Sound good, "We don't torture!!!" or do good, by enhanced methods to get preventative information, and stopping enormous death and injury?????
What are the consequence of our actions is the greater importance!
