The Work of an Evangelist
The Lord has used me on my job and other places to meet people and then go with them to their local assemblies and teach them a bible study and witness to them and then link them up with the local pastor.Here is just one neat example that blessed me.
I was visiting a friend in jail.I am going to name names not to brag but to share that God can use you anywhere and in neat ways.I hope this encourages someone to go with the flow of the Holy Ghost.Anyway while I was in the lobby waiting there was a lady smoking a cigarette.
It kept drifting over my way and irritating me to the max.I hate smoke.
When I got into the elevator for a split second I looked at her and saw her with her hair up(yes don't choke you who hate the hair thing.This was God talking to me and He says what He wants).Not the normal hairdo but bouffant like back in the late sixties or early seventies.You old time pentecostal girls know what I mean.I went up on the elevator and began the visit which was through a plate glass window with a phone.My friend went over and got this son and introduced him and her to me.I about fell out as it was the lady from the elevator.She and I left the building taking and she invited me over(to spend the night).I am somewhat daring and after I saw what I saw in the elevator I took her up on her offer.She was living alone due to both of her sons being in jail for the time being.Long story short...she was a pentecostal backslider from Texas.She lived get this....three houses down from the church where Brother Gary and Sister Cookie Vining who pastor now in North Carolina were pastoring.Through this contact Gracie Shirley received the Holy Ghost and Brother Vining started a jail ministry.Her son was the first person baptized.God gave me a good friend in Gracie Shirley.She became a great blessing to me.
God is good.He will use you if you let him.You just have to lose the hangups.
