That's all you got? "Fox News talking points"? Really? Some unsubstantiated arbitrary stat? Weak Light, really weak.

What about the BO admin telling us that after the stimulus package unemployment would not rise above 8%? Where are the millions of "shovel ready" jobs the stimulus was supposed to create?

Your solution is tax the rich and give the government more money. I would take my chances and trust private individuals with THEIR OWN MONEY any day over government bureaucrats and politicians! The government's financial track record is abysmal.

I ran across this stat:

The top 1% of taxpayers earn about 20% of the income in the United States, and yet they pay 40% of all income taxes collected. And when it comes to these evil oil companies, the average net profit margin for the S&P Energy sector, according to figures from Thomson Baseline, is 9.7%.

This article is from April of 2008, but I couldn't find anything newer.
