The driver in this fatal accident was the aunt of my two stepsons. We always expected something like this, given her lifestyle, but to take so many others with her.....just tragic.
My oldest is really having a hard time b/c on Friday, he saw his aunt Penny and for the first time in years she actually spoke to him and told him she loved him. (They had never gotten along for a variety of reasons.) He's really taking this hard b/c of all the "wasted time".
And, I'll even say this...Please pray for their Mom, Lisa. (My husbands ex-wife). She was always "mad" at her sister, and "hated her"...but she's really taking this hard. The passenger in Pennys car was also their cousin...
It's a tragic thing that has happened, there are so many issues now, I just feel for all of them.
She had a life that more often than not, ends this way..but she had something about her, something that you cant put a finger on. She didnt like me, made it a point to let everyone know it...I'd never been officially introduced to her but who expected us to be friends? Irregardless, there was something about her I liked....she had such potential and she needed God. I watched her life knowing what she was needing was a relationship with God....
Please pray for my step sons Nic and Trenton. But also remember their Mom, Lisa...and even her parents Brenda and Charlie. Ed, her ex husband actually responded to the accident, he's not doing well....as you can expect.
Penny had two sons, Austin and Cody. The days ahead will not be easy for reasons other than the death of their mother. Thank you for praying for all these folks....
