Well, I am a One God Apostolic Pentecostal who is not living separated from the world, but separated unto God.
I am in this world and thus cannot live separated from it.
I choose, however, to separate myself by thought, voice, action and deed unto the Master.
I am not committed to a creed, but to the Cross.
I live and move and have my being because of my commitment to Him.

Primarily, separation from the world needs to take place in the heart. If we have a genuine change of heart at repentance and experience the new birth in all of its fullness, then we no longer see the world the same, and it no longer has a hold of us. Old things pass away, and all things become new.
We no longer desire to run with the same crowd. We no longer act like them, look like them, or feel/think like them. The Holy Spirit has done a work from the inside out and a progression is underway.
We now seek like minded company and do things quite opposite from the conventions of men not of God and their wisdoms.
Now then, once empowered, we will seek to reach the world with the message of our Lord Christ Jesus. In order to do so, we have to go out into all of the world. Howbeit, with the empowerment of almighty God we can do so for we are shielded from the things of the world by our thorough separation and we are protected for the battle.
Separation is not just outward. Someone dressed proper, but without that light of inner power from the Holy Ghost will not sustain, nor succeed. There is no appeal to the world and no power from a properly dressed individual with the black stare of condemnation rolling down their nose. That is why such folks hide in the pews of isolation.
Isolation is not separation.
To the contrary, the appeal and the power we possess, or shall I say, that possess us, is in the light we shine from the inside out. The words and actions that proceed forth, the world certainly recognizes as different, despite the worlds manifold responses, good, bad, and ugly.
Thus, a complete package of separation from the world, in mind, spirit, body, and soul is what constitutes true separation from the world. Yours in Christ, Theo.

This is what separation from the THINGS of the World (not the people of the world) and Unto God involves in simplest terms:
I John 2:15-17
Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

II Thessalonians 3: 6
Now we command you, brethren, in the NAME of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly, and not after the tradition which he received of us.
Is this scripture true, it's in my Bible????????

Um ... HCM ... hate to burst your bible bubble ... but this seems to me that this scripture does not refer to the worldly ... or "unchurched" .... it refers to a brother who is walking disorderly ... or in other words "a brother in Christ".
I love when folks play theological gymnastics w/ the Word.

No matter how you cut it, how you look at it, or the best you could possibly muster, you or I will never ever be truly separated from the world.
We can only do our best and try. Some THINK they are more separated than you, but then pride puts them back in the cesspool. Two steps forward, three steps back.
The same with holiness, we can only try because we will never ever be as holy as we need to be.
