Standards, are they all traditions?

A great place to start with standards is gender distinction and modesty.

When are we going to see that standards are what are made up from one preacher and passed down to the next till it has become a doctrine. If the saints will stop long enough and get the preacher off the pedestal they have him on and really study for them selves, they will find that not one standard is in the scripture.

They can say, I have studied it out but really they have studied what has been taught them not studied it from different points of view. If standards were in the bible we would not have so many different views, it be simple enough to see. But because it is not bible but mans view we have one man that sees this and another that sees that. Just because a person is convinced he is right does not make it so.
