Cruz does lie (V)

Now before all the Trump-haters flip out at the thought that Trump might actually be right about their beloved "Christian candidate", I don't expect anything better during a campaign. But I am disappointed in Cruz for these un-truths.

I'll have to watch it later. I'm sure the "North Idaho For Donald Trump" group was completely unbiased in making this video.

Ha!

So, what we look for in a candidate is "consistency". We realize that during interviews, a person is going to answer as to what the audience wants to hear.

Let's take the points of the video in order:

1. Does Trump support Universal Healthcare? Yes, he does.

Quote:
Trump Pretty Much Says He Supports Universal Health Care During 60 Minutes Interview

Scott Pelley: Universal health care.

Donald Trump: I am going to take care of everybody. I don't care if it costs me votes or not. Everybody's going to be taken care of much better than they're taken care of now.

Scott Pelley: The uninsured person is going to be taken care of. How? How?

Donald Trump: They're going to be taken care of. I would make a deal with existing hospitals to take care of people. And, you know what, if this is probably--

Scott Pelley: Make a deal? Who pays for it?

Donald Trump: --the government's gonna pay for it.

2. Where has Donald Trump stood on 2nd Amendment rights?

Donald Trump rates in the grey area on this issue. When you believe strongly in the right to bear arms, you don't change that view at any time - ever. Ted Cruz has NEVER evolved or changed his view on this important issue. This issue is a "must" to have been consistent on.

Quote:
In the past Trump has payed lip service to the Second Amendment. More troubling is that he supported the so-called assault weapons ban and a longer waiting period for gun purchases. However, during the 2015 campaign, Trump has made a major shift on Second Amendment issues.

Trump believes that the Democrats’ approach to confiscate all guns will leave criminals as the only ones with weapons, but believes Republicans need to be more flexible on reforms. “Democrats want to confiscate all guns, which is a dumb idea because only the law-abiding citizens would turn in their guns and the bad guys would be the only ones left armed. The Republicans walk the NRA line and refuse even limited restrictions. I generally oppose gun control, but I support the ban on assault weapons and I also support a slightly longer waiting period to purchase a gun. With today’s Internet technology we should be able to tell within seventy-two hours if a potential gun owner has a record.” (The America We Deserve) - See more at: https://www.conservativereview.com/2...ump#article-13
3. Does Donald Trump support Planned Parenthood.

Quote:
FACT CHECK: Trump Supports Planned Parenthood Funding

When pressed on non-abortion services Planned Parenthood allegedly provides, Trump said, “What I would do when the time came, I’d look at the individual things they do, and maybe some of the individual things they do are good. I know a lot of the things are bad. But certainly the abortion aspect of it should not be funded by government, absolutely.”

Trump continued, “I would look at the good aspects of [Planned Parenthood], and I would also look, because I’m sure they do some things properly and good and that are good for women, and I would look at that, and I would look at other aspects also. But we have to take care of women.”

In other words Trump is open to a status quo many conservatives find unacceptable and immoral; also a typical federal government shell game to skirt around the law. If you give Planned Parenthood money for these so-called “other things,” the abortion provider can shift money from those “other things” to abortion.

Heritage Explains Why Planned Parenthood Doesn’t Need Taxpayer Funding

Despite cries that without federal subsidies Planned Parenthood would be forced to stop providing services to women, the nonprofit organization has run budget surpluses since 2008. Additionally, Donovan points out that much of what the organization does is hardly critical:

4. Does Donald Trump fully support Israel?

Quote:
Donald Trump Will Remain ‘Neutral’ on Israeli-Palestinian Conflict if President

Republican frontrunner Donald Trump said Wednesday that he would remain “neutral” in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict if he became U.S. president
http://www.newsweek.com/donald-trump...lict-if-428000

5. Would Donald Trump Rip up the Iran Deal?

Quote:

Donald Trump Would Not Rip Up The Iran Deal

He would “police” the agreement instead.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/...b0ab468d9d907e

6. Would Donald Trump make deals concerning SCOTUS choices?

Quote:
TIM RUSSERT: Would President Trump ban partial-birth abortions?

DONALD TRUMP: Well look, I’m very pro-choice.

RUSSERT: But you would not ban it?

TRUMP: No.

RUSSERT: Or ban partial birth abortions?

TRUMP: No, I am pro-choice in every respect.

Trump insists that life experiences between 1999 and 2011 changed his heart on abortion, but at the same time Trump has kept defending the nation’s largest abortion-mill chain as a group that does wonderful things for women — up to and including in Saturday’s debate. That might make undecided voters reluctant to throw in with Trump, but it hasn’t stopped that from happening so far.

In conclusion, Ted Cruz is a deep thinker. He does not ever say things off the cuff. Everything he says and does is calculated and based on solid conservative principles that are upheld by the United States Constitution. You can't trump Ted Cruz - pun intended.

Donald Tramp is evolving into a true Republican.
He is morphing into a true conservative.

He gets brownie points for that.

PO beat me to it.

Just watched the video and it's a bunch of rubbish. Sorry, 0.

Hopefully you can respond to the rebuttal from PO which proves Cruz didn't lie, and that Trump has indeed done what Cruz claimed.

Re: Cruz does lie (V)

The GOP has no intention of defunding Planned UnParenthood, just like they had no intention of stopping Obamacare, repealing Obamacare, stopping Obama in general, eliminating the Dept of Education, stopping Common Core, reducing the debt, protecting American trade and business, stopping illegal immigration, deporting illegals, protecting American workers and American jobs, reducing welfare, protecting our rights to privacy and habeus corpus, protecting and maintaining Posse Comitatus, reducing the size and scope of government, impeaching Obama for high crimes, misdemeanors, and treason, investigating Fast and Furious in any serious manner, reigning in the BATFE, reigning in the BLM, investigating and prosecuting the Clinton's for selling national defense technology to China, restricting the POTUS' ability to wage war without a Constitutionally required declaration of war, reducing the budget, reigning in the IRS, overhauling the VA, stopping wars that have no actual pro-Americsn winning goals and objectives, exposing and blocking the NAU, the SPP, the TPP, the TPA, NAFTA, GATT, the WTO, getting us out of the UN, etc etc etc.

So Cruz and Trump make wonderful promises, just like they ALL do, but things just sail on in the same trajectory with no let up in sight.
