Trump right about Cruz
I believe that constitutionally Ted Cruz is eligible to be President. But since when do liberal activist judges care about the Constitution? Trump is right in sounding the alarm over what might happen if Cruz was to get the nomination without his eligibility be litigated. And please do not tell me that a liberal judge would not leap at the opportunity to cause the GOP to basically have to forfeit the election. In 2004 a Federal Judge awarded Puerto Rico 3 electoral votes ruling that it was "unconstitutional" to keep the territory from participating in the Electoral College. An appeals court immediately tossed the partisan, ideological ruling. But my point remains.
I believe Trump wants Cruz to be his running mate. But he also does not want to attach an albatross to his ticket.

Re: Trump right about Cruz
There is no eligibility to litigate.
He is a "natural born citizen".
Just as BHO was...

Again, nothing is beneath a liberal activist judge.

Please, the man is a bully and a snake in the grass. He is building an empire and now he wants to rule the world.
At first, I thought I could support him, but now, the more he speaks, the more turned off I am by him.

How Donald Trump made the birther attack on Ted Cruz stick
Trump's response was in keeping with how he typically tests out attacks: He put it on "a lot of people" who were talking about the issue and insisted he wasn't entirely sure how it might all turn out but that Cruz might want to get it figured out sooner rather than later.
It soon became clear to Trump that the Cruz citizenship hit was working.

When interpreting any law, we have to give meaning to all terms when it's possible and when it is reasonable. "Natural born" would have to mean something. We would then understand that "natural" wouldn't relate to how a person was birthed, but in relation to their citizenship.
The case would be settled that the Constitution does not say "native born" as that would imply a geographic limitation. Therefore, "natural born" would be defined as a citizen under the law, which is a person born in the US or on foreign lands by a parent.

While I disagree considerably with your views on Trump, this link should cause you to take heart. Please note especially the paragraph immediately following the video link.

The man is clearly not a Conservative.

What about Reagan?
And what other "conservative" do you think will close the border and dump Obamacare?

Re: Trump right about Cruz
If Cruz is ok to run, then so what if Obama was born in Kenya!
He wasn't born in Kenya though.
I just can't believe that NO ONE in the GOP is willing to admit the glaring hypocrisy here. All it will do is just drive home old, established, generally false narratives about the GOP.
GOP doesn't care though and is completely oblivious to how all of this seems.
Trump is right about going after Cruz on this-- right and CONSISTENT, but I don't think his rhetoric on Cruz is nearly as inflammatory and the EFFECTS of his rhetoric is DEFINITELY not nearly as inflammatory.

Re: Trump right about Cruz
JD - love how you make sweeping statements about everybody in the GOP. If you look back at my posts, I believe I have been consistent on this issue. As have most in the GOP.
I can't believe the glaring hypocrisy in the Dems regarding Hillary.

Talk about hypocrisy, there is plenty to go around.
