Despite The Fact.

Through The Lord's mercies we are not consumed,
Because His compassions fail not.
They are new every morning;
Great is your faithfulness.
The Lord is my portion ,says my soul,
Therefore I hope in HIM ! Lamentations. 3:22,23,24 NKJV

The books of Lamentations was written by a grief stricken Jeremiah who had witnessed God's city Jerusalem and God's people who had fallen captive to the Babylonians.
The Prophet was grieved for His Kinsmen who were being punished for their rejection of God.

However despite the fact of the hopelessness of this situation ,the prophet Jeremiah however finds hope in The Lord despite his feelings of despair.

You see in our Christian experience we will find ourselves in situations of despair and seeming utter hopelessness.
But in The Lord we can find hope despite the fact our natural circumstances are quite unpleasant to us.

You see there was a remnant of Jews left due to the compassions of God , and not all were consumed , you see even in God's wrath ,God still shows compassion.
Every day we can experience God's compassions afresh and anew ,when we awake in the morning ,they are awaiting us.

Despite the fact ,that mankind's days are short and full of trouble ,and even though we should not think it strange that we should face fiery trials ,to the Child of God ,we can say like lamenting Jeremiah The Lord is my portion, says our inner most being we can hope in Him ,despite the fact of our natural circumstances.

Amen, Bro Scott. This verse came to my mind as well today when I went for a walk. We can forget those things that happened yesterday knowing that God's mercies toward us are new everyday. He wants to start each day afresh with us. What a wonderful God we have!
