Why are liberals so sympathetic to Islam???

Why are Liberals so sympathetic to Islam while demonizing Conservatives? If Liberals really understood Islamic law they'd realize how Islam is a greater threat to their liberal worldview than Conservatism could ever be.

5 Sharia Laws Liberals should know:

1.) Insulting the Prophet Muhammad, Allah, and the Quran are considered blasphemy. Many times the punishment is death, even if there is no proof the crime was committed.

2.) A person is guilty of apostasy if they were born or raised a Muslim and choose to leave the religion. This is sometimes applied to those who convert to Islam later in life, then choose another religion thereafter. The punishment is usually death by hanging.

3.) Homosexuality is unarguably illegal under Sharia law. While penalties vary, prison, lashings, or the death penalty are the common punishments.

4.) Many countries allow the beating, divorce, or even killing of a wife is she is “disobedient” or brings shame to her husband. In many cases, a woman with a lower level job loses custody of her children in a divorce.
Women are to dress “modestly” at all times. Whether this means wearing a full hijab and burka, or simply covering the arms and legs, some clergy allow for the raping of women who are considered immodest.
Foreign non-Muslim women can be considered sex slaves, as per the Quran, and may be held for that purpose.
In cases of rape, a woman must provide male witnesses, typically 4, or she will be convicted of adultery, for which the punishment is usually lashing or death.

5.) Child marriage is different from country to country, however, many make it acceptable to marry very young girls since the prophet married his wife Aaliyah at the age of 6. Marriages may be arranged, or even carried out, at any time after birth, with consummation legal by age 8 or 9, again as Muhammad did.

I believe that if Liberals really understood the nature of Islam and Islamic law they'd see radical Islam as one of the greatest threats to not only their liberal agenda... but to Western civilization itself.

Because Liberals don't believe Islam really holds those beliefs. And in their desire to be inclusive and tolerant of other cultures, they ignore the reality.

Just look at obama and this admin trying to claim ISIS isn't Islamic. It's like trying to claim the Pope isn't Roman Catholic.

From a political stand point, I think it's necessary for them to make such statements though. We do have Muslims in America that are regular hard working people. Also, making statements that would imply all Muslims are terrorists would just incite unnecessary unrest.

I don't mind either W or obama saying we're not at war with Islam. It's true, we're not. But for them to try and cover up the fact that these terrorists believe they're doing the will of Allah, and try to say as obama did, they're not really Muslim, is ridiculous.

Here is my take on it. There are billions of Muslims in the world. So even if you say that small majority of radical terrorists, that numbers still represents a good chunk of people. It does seem that in America we are quick to not offended them and poop on Christian beliefs and rights. I think it has to do with the fact that if you make a Christian mad they are just going to whine on facebook about it. If you make a Muslim mad, they will go Behngazi on your booty.

Aquila, will you just remain hopelessly mired in the world, or are you at some point going to evolve past Fox News, and start encouraging believers? Wadr. I mean, "liberals and conservatives," really? You must know these are in their death throes as we speak?

It is at least encouraging to realize that countries come and go, but nations remain.

It might be instructive to at least publicly contemplate the future of your religion in a post-lib/con world--which is inevitable. What will happen to the Apo/Pent movement when the US gov has run its course, which must happen, and soon, if we are truly in the 'decadence' phase of our civilization, which seems undeniable?
