What Will We Become?
Galatians 1:9 As we said before, so I say now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

Evidently Paul was a mean old conservative that thought that if you weren't doing what he preached you were lost.

Re: What Will We Become?
Problem is... there are a ton of differences of opinion on what "gospel" was preached...
All through Acts, the gospel that was preached was the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus. Sounds simple... but...

Re: What Will We Become?
The Gospel is the atonement provided by the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. All sincere Christians believe in and teach the Gospel.
Where we differ is with regards to it's application.

There are 2 sides of the fence; those who take away from the Gospel and preach it takes more than faith in Christ (adding extra laws and rules) and those who diminish the "buried with Him in baptism" not signifying what it truly means. I hope that all of us will cut through the man-made additions (or subtractions) to the Gospel and get back to its purest form which is preaching the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Giving the world a blessed hope through Him and letting them know they can be forgiven, accepted into the covenant God gave Abraham through baptism in Christ, and have the power over this present evil by being filled with the Holy Spirit.

The Bible does say there is A way, and it is straight and narrow, and FEW there be that find it. Every denomination or belief is not right. Lots of preachers have become ear ticklers and man pleasers because many are looking for a loose way to serve God.

Verry true. It is sad that in most churches today people will not hear a message of true repentance that requires the hearer to turn away from their sin and to God. Instead we are told we are weak and can't help that we sin there is nothing we can do about it. We were born this way so rather than stop sinng we should just try real hard to sin less but not to worry God understands our sin. Remind s me of the passage where Paul wrote:
2 Timothy 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.

Another way to look at that might be that there is only one 'spiritual' way, that invariably no denomination gets right. My personal theory is that when one seeks to codify their religion, the Holy Spirit, being alive and flowing with the changes, must vacate. Seemed to fit better with The Separation Parable.
