70 People Baptized This Weekend!

A few days ago I posted about our churches quarterly Praise & Worship nights and posted a link to a promo video for the one this past Friday, Nov 8, 2013.

We generally have a baptism service at the end of the Praise & Worship night and then in each of our three services on Sunday.

This weekend we baptized 14 people at the Praise & Worship service and then 56 more between our three Sunday services for a total of 70 people baptized in Jesus name this weekend!

In this day and age where often I am discouraged at the spiritual state of our nation and particularly our young people it is great to see that there are still people committing themselves to Christ and to walking with him.

For those of you that may have missed it here is a link to that video promo for this worship night that is footage from the previous worship night I believe.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Always wonderful when a person is baptized in Jesus name.

Re: 70 People Baptized This Weekend!

If anybody wonders what baptism sermon from a one stepper who baptizes in Jesus name looks and sounds like here is a link to the video of this past Sunday's 11 am service sermon at The Experience Community church in Tennessee. Don't know how many people were baptized at the end of this service but over the entire weekend the total was 70.
