Democrats reject partial funding (L)

The Dems own this. People are suffering needlessly because the Dems will not fund the government.

Today, the House will re-introduce the same three bills that were defeated yesterday. This time they will only require a simple majority and not a 2/3 majority needed to pass.

I believe we also need to keep our focus on the real problem - Obamacare.

That is more at issue than a government shutdown.

So Obama gets his signature piece of legislation passed by congress and upheld by the supreme court and somehow the GOP expects him to agree to a budget that doesnt include funding for it? The GOP house knows that Obama will veto any budget that doesnt fund Obamacare, so what do they do? Introduce the same budget that doesnt fund the law. Yet somehow you think the DEMs are responsible for the shutdown. Makes sense. I, unlike the GOP house, dont care who gets credit or blame.

The majority of Americans do not want Obamacare. All the GOP is trying to do now is delay the individual mandate. Get your facts straight.

Source for bolded? They are trying to de-fund the whole thing! Get your facts straight. Also, what ideas are they bringing to the table? Party of no!

Only 35% of Likely U.S. Voters favor the individual mandate anyway, according to the latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. Fifty-six percent (56%) oppose the law’s requirement that every American obtain health insurance or else be forced to pay fines.

By a two-to-one margin, 56% to 26%, voters want the president to delay implementation of the individual mandate.

No. Thanks.

Seriously though, I have mixed feelings about this ACA thing. What do I like? I like how this is supposedly trying to lower the cost of insurance. What dont I like? I hate the mandate and that the IRS is going to enforce that mandate.

Very true. Anything that gives the IRS more power is not good.
