As a member of the Admin Team, Cindy was always faithful, always there, always working tirelessly to help the forum run peacefully. She was always fair, balanced and full of grace while meting out discipline when needed. But more often than not, she was working hard behind the scenes to bring peace between feuding members. She touched so many members with her words of wisdom and counsel. Even those who needed a good walloping, were instead confronted with her soft-spoken and peace-loving nature to soothe the problems. And of course, so many potential problems were stopped abruptly with a well-placed ‘Good Grief’ from our ‘Texas Granny’.
Since her passing, we have learned that she never complained, nor let on that she was having difficulty. So many of us were unaware that she was even suffering with a debilitating illness. She always seemed to be the one to lend an empathetic ear to those who were hurting or in need, emotionally or spiritually. She was such a great encourager, always comforting others.
In light of her passing, it’s times like this that we wish our forum was better equipped to have been able to, in some way, compensate Cindy for her hard work. While that hasn’t been possible in the past, there is one thing we CAN do NOW that will be a blessing to Cindy’s family. We can help to offset the costs her family will incur with the upcoming funeral expenses.
We are currently accepting donations on the forum to help with these expenses. 100% of all donations will go to the family.
We would like to set a goal of $1,000 and would love to have you help us meet that goal! We currently have $300. It would only take 35 members contributing $20, or 70 members contributing $10. Surely we could meet this goal!
Our fundraising efforts will continue till June 15th to give members who need it time to plan and budget.
Please use the Cindy Nash Fund 'Donate' button in the right side column to make your donation, or if you would like to work out another option, please email us at
friends@apostolicfriendsforum.com, or use the 'Contact Us' link at the bottom of the page.
Thanks to all of our awesome AFF members for your generous and giving hearts!
