Memorable Memorial Day

We baptized three today at 4:30 pm! A mother of one of our members, the daughter of the same member and her daughter's boyfirend all went down in the mighty Name of Jesus! Thank the Lord!

My wife and kids and I went to lunch at our favorite Tex-Mex place. They then went shopping at the mall (a bunch of sales) I went to Barnes and Noble. I get a phone call, its a family member of these people calling to say "I've got eight people here, waiting for a baptismal service!" (I had let time slip past me and didn't realiae I was late). They were all in good spirits about the whole thing and didn't seem to mind (we have a beautiful campus---a 13 acre wooded lot) the sun was going down, the temperature was perfect.

What a happy moment for this mother who recently got back into church a few years ago! She had a terrible marriage (to a Muslim no less) the man was abusive and she left him but had problems of her own. The children have been crammed with Islam but they are rejecting it as they are growing up into adulthood. We have baptized two of her kids, and now another daughter and her mother on top of that! She has really been praying hard for these kids and it has paid off!

Great news! I pray that more Muslims will break free from that religion.

Deacon,

I believe there is revival in Tennessee... Thank the Lord for these who were baptized!

I did notice there was some confusion on the number of baptisms... not that it matters, but did you baptized 3 with 5 watching or did you baptize 8? We do not want to be accused of evangelastically reporting your good news!

You are right - - I read that wrong. Eight were there and three to be baptized. It's early.

And now it is high time that we awake out of sleep!!!!

I am sure you were not alone in your reading it this way. I say it is attributable to your faith! That is a good thing and not something for which to apologize!
