where is the biblical command to cut taxes on the rich? where is the biblical command to help the poor?

I don't think conservatives hate the poor and I personally don't believe liberals love them as you seem to believe they do. Liberals see the poor as a vast resource of votes, so the give them what they want or at least make promises they know they can't keep. It's about money and power...that is how they stay in office.

If they loved the poor please explain why and how you liberals keep jacking up the sales tax here in California?

Please explain how you liberals keep the gas prices so high.

Please explain how you liberals chase all the businesses out of California, giving us the highest unemployment.

It's a liberal lie. They say the money is for education but what it's for is the highest teacher salaries and pensions in the nation with the lowest test scores and crumbling school buildings.

Your system keeps them poor but makes sure they can buy McDonalds food. The Rich can afford high gas and high sales tax not the poor.

Our "poor" live better than the average citizen in Great Britain. Our "poor' have air conditioned houses, get their nails done, have big screen TV's, have two cars, fancy cell phones, etc.

Now die to liberal economic pol;icy, we certainly will have real poor people here in the near future. But to take Jesus' words concerning the poor completely out of context is outrageous. He was not speaking to secular governments. He was speaking to individuals.

i'm not claiming liberals are perfect and i don't know anything about califonia politics, but likewise liberals don't hate the rich like db claims. but whose economic policies line up more with the biblical command?

why can't governments who are made up of conscience individuals try to fulfill the biblical command? didn't god give laws to israel concerning the poor? isn't that a biblical ideal government? nations are judged as well as individuals. i think it is you that has a selective context and interpretation.

Liberals are worse. To Liberals the poor are a means to an end. A means to power. A means to revolutions. The poor remain poor under Socialism...they just create more poor to even it out

Liberal tactics are to demonize the rich as they did to Romney. They portray the rich as the uncaring with enough money to solve all our problems but are hording it selfishly.

What government do you think we live under? We are not in Israel, nor does our nation follow biblical commands. It is not the governments job to take care of the poor. From a Christian principle, the Church is to take care of the poor.

who is to say it is not the government's job to take care of the poor? what about christians in government that want to take care of the poor? the constitution talks about the general welfare:

Let the Christians in government take money from their paychecks and donate it. You realize the more you liberals take and mismanage on helping the poor there will be less money given to charities. What liberals want is big secular goverments to do it and do it less efficiantly
