Greetings!

I'm new here and thought I would introduce myself. I didn't grow up in a Bible-believing home but rather a church going Protestant one.
As a little kid I asked Jesus to come into my life, and then later on as a teen I visited a UPC church for the first time and was baptized in Jesus' Name.

I am not UPC now, but went on to join a "Trinity" Pentecostal organization and ended up a career missionary.

I am open minded however, and have visited several UPC churches.

Re: Greetings!

Welcome to the group.

You will find that we are pretty diverse here.

How about a little more information about yourself?

Ntmy. Yes, actually; with that being said. Do you live in a Kingdom, or a Republic?

We're always interested in hearing your testimony of how and when you got saved, and of course, stories of how God has blessed you and provided for you over the years, and a little bit about where you have served.

It's kind of a long testimony.... I was interested in magic and powers as a little kid but didn't know it was of the devil. At the same time, this Sunday school teacher in my parents mainline church was telling us kids we needed to be saved and giving us Gospel tracts. My parents weren't real thrilled with that. Fear entered my life because of all the occult things I was reading about, So one night I asked God if what this lady was saying was true to reveal himself to me. That night I had a dream and saw a great big black book open up and it had gold rimmed pages. First I saw the page on the left hand side and it was decorated with a vine on the edge of the whole page and on that page was listed all the things that are an abomination to God and one of them was witchcraft listed there. On the top center of the page was a buzzard or vulture as a symbol of death. Then my view switched to the right-hand page. It was brilliant and the scene of the sky and the clouds and Jesus standing on the clouds with his hands stretched out toward me and I could see the nail prints in his hands. Then in the background a deep voice asked "and which do you choose"?

When I woke up immediately I got on my knees and repented of my sins and ask the Lord Jesus Christ to come into my heart and save me. I was 11 years old. When I was 14 years old I was filled with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues alone in my bedroom. I had read books about this experience but I had never visited a Pentecostal church before. When I was baptized in the Holy Ghost I was 14 years old and it was 8:15 in the morning and it was also my birthday!

I have been serving as a missionary to Spain since 1990.
