my most misplaced fear.

ILG posted a thread about fear of death...

after much disussion of ancillary issues, there were some good things said about the fear of dying.

it made me think of my own fears surrounding the final chapter of life.

I dont really fear death. Of course we all have some trepidation concerning the unknown I suppose. But this does lead to a fear that I do have that is very real for me.

That is the fear of Eternity. I have complete faith in God and know that being with Him forever is the most wonderful of thoughts however, when i contemplate the pure LENGTH of FOREVER, even in the very best place with the most loving and wonderful God, it can cause a second or two of almost terror.

anybody else have such a misplaced fear? the same one or a different one?

i think that's the whole point, it makes us ponder our intentions and re-affirm our passion and desire to completely follow after Christ. if there is a "healthy" fear in life, it is the fear and awe of considering eternity....

great point to ponder Ferd....

All went well.
The weather was great. I was the fortunate one - got the cot. BUT it had many missing springs. not a good thing for my back. Overall it went well. I have taught my wife to cook over a camp fire and taught the girls to dig worms.

We all caught fish.

Folks would not commit suicide if they feared death.

Some folks fear life and where it is heading...
