LOL! I remember knowing our local Catholic Church had a beer license because my father helped at all the church picnics - which had kegs, bands and dancing. Once there was a fist fight and my father, being one of the bouncers, had to close the event down and send everyone home.
After his funeral we were in the fellowship hall. They call it something else, but I can't recall - maybe a "rectory".
Anyway, a sign on the door exiting the building said, "Beer must remain on premises."
My daughter turned to my husband and asked, "What does that mean?"
He said, "It means you can drink at church, but don't take it home with you."
