The illegal immigration problem is much more involved that what it looks like on the surface. The Texas Legislature voted 184 with only 4 dissenting votes. That is veto proof, even if Perry wasn't on board with it.

Also, this information shows that the Federal Government is hamstringing the states. How can you not discriminate against K-12, by the 14th Amendment and then turn around and stop them from attending college?

I have liked him from the start. I would still be surprised that he could win having never held office. I don't see handing the Presidency to a man that has never held public office. We shall see and it wouldn't bother me one bit if he did win. I'm just thinking they liked his 9-9-9 plan.
I just heard that Romney asked some of his supporters to vote for Cain to upset Perry's lead. That hasn't yet been confirmed, but if he did, that was a diabolically clever and dishonest move.

I'm a little iffy on him taking the presidency with no policy experience. The USA is a huge and powerful country. But, if the cards are in his favor, I will vote for him.
InTrade has him at a 1.3% chance of getting the nomination and a 2% chance of getting the VP slot. We shall see how that moves along.
