Didn't watch it, but I read the transcript online and saw some clips on RCP.
Funny that BHO, and other Presidents, demand that the media and opponents leave their family out of discussion and politics, yet they themselves refer to their wife or kids in speeches and pressers.
BHO used the bully pulpit to criticize Congress for waiting so long to raise the debt ceiling, stating his daughters are more disciplined and do their homework well in advance.
Quote:
“You know, Malia and Sasha generally finish their homework a day ahead of time. Malia is 13 and Sasha is 10. It is impressive. They don’t wait until the night before. They’re not pulling all-nighters,” he said to laughter from the assembled press corps. “They’re 13 and 10. You know, Congress can do the same thing. If you know you’ve got to do something, just do it.”
|
At least Congress is debating it and looking at the pros and cons of doing so. This can't be said of the President who didn't read or know his own Healthcare bill.
Then after insulting Congress over their slow progress, BHO gave this gem of a statement:
Quote:
And then they’re saying Obama’s got to step in – you need to be here, I’ve been here, I’ve been doing Afghanistan, bin Laden, and the Greek crisis. You stay here. Let’s get it done.”

Really? No, really? Did the President of the United States just complain about having to do too much? *sniffle* "I've been doing Afghanistan, bin Laden, and the Greek crisis. YOU [Congress] stay here."
Need some cheese with that whine, sir?
Call me ignorant, but I'm thinking the US economy is a bit more important right now than policing a foreign country that continues to insult us, complain and doesn't want us there; bin Laden was dying and say what you want, he wasn't much of a threat in recent years; and the Greek crisis? I understand the worlds economies are connected, but leave the Greek crisis to the Greeks.
Good grief. I would think a Community Organizer would be used to multi-tasking and being under pressure domestically and internationally. [tic]
496 days left to vote his behind out of the WH... Oh happy day!
