Oh My Goodness - Talk About Feeling OLD!!!

Today I started the second round of the gel "rooster shots" for my knee. Instant relief and amazing how much pain you learn to tolerate daily.

The doctor said that the gel therapy might last longer if I can keep my long distance walking down to a minimum. He suggested stationary biking to build up the muscles around the knee, but hold out on extended walking.

WELL.............at work they have just completed a new parking garage that is about a half mile long - 5 floors. If you don't get here at the crack of dawn (that would not be me), then there is a chance you will have to do some long distance walking.

SO..........the doctor gave me an application for a Handicap Parking Tag!!!!!!!!!!

Rhoni, you think getting the AARP application makes you feel old......I bet this is worse!

I got you beat there too...I have had a handicap parking sticker since 1991 because the only walking I can/should do is on water...literally!

P.S. I am sorry that you are feeling old though.... it stinks

Oh good....... ! Naw, just kidding. I hate that you have had to put up with the problems you've had since your wreck - - not fun at all.

Hey, I figure the tag might come in handy when it's raining and the farthest parking space at Target is by the highway!!!! LOL!

I will probably keep it tucked away and only display it when I HAVE to.

In Florida the only available parking places are handicapped because most are over 65 there. My friends and family love to take me along so we can park in the handicap parking!

I've changed my mind on the breakfast tray. I'm knitting a shawl. What is your favorite color, dear?

BTW, I locked myself outside of my daughter's store and was in the alley. I looked around to see how I could climb over the fence with three rows of barbed wire.

Fortunately the guy next door that sells marble and granite counter tops was in. He is hardly ever in. Most of his work is via phone and on the job site. I knocked on the door holding a broom. He started laughing and said, "I've never had anyone knock at the back door."

Does stupid equate with getting old? I think so.

You learn to not call it stupid, but a hormonal fluctuation!

I'm hot natured - don't need the shawl!

Yeah, I thought stupid was a little harsh. lol! Especially since the story related to my actions. My daughter laughed her head off.

I'm always cold. Funny I had hot flashes when I turned 40. Getting close to 50 and I rarely have hot flashes.

I have a friend here who is barely 50 and just had one hip replacement done. She goes in for the 2nd in a few months.

She was barely able to walk and if it wasn't for the fact that his kind of surgery can be done now she'd be in a wheelchair for the rest of her life and at such a young age.

So........ cheer up Renda!
