Doubt; The Threshold of Truth
We are instructed as believers to beware of Doubt. Doubt is unbelief, which can carry us into the arms of being faithless. Those who doubt are ostracized as being rebellious, forsaking the Traditions of our Forefathers.
We are taught to walk in “Blind Faith”, holding onto a trust which bears the perimeter of what someone else thinks or believes. We tell people who are sick they are healed, when they are not. Just because they don’t “SEE” the crippling disease gone, people are told to “Just CLAIM IT”.
When Doubt sticks its ugly head up, the Church finds herself barring the gates, preparing for battle. Those who Doubt will corrupt current motives and trends that have been implemented for generations, so we fear doubt. We fear the question which may challenge everything we’ve ever believed. So another day goes by where our idea becomes this calloused, flailing concept that gives us temporary relief, but no real answer.
But consider, without Doubt the avenues of Faith that we travel will become nothing but a maze of trusting in things that cannot be measured by the very cosmos of God’s Creation. False Doctrines rein in power when Doubt has been conquered. Life becomes this mystical experience where the Facts are deemed as being silly, and the measuring stick of reality is cast aside for a “Ghost”.
Many are taught, when Doubt begins to bleed from our spiritual veins we become somewhat of a lifeless sort in the realm of Faith, but is this true?
Consider this; Doubt is the gateway to the facts. When people in the World of Religion begin to Doubt, the tables of debate open up into an array of wanting the Truth. Without Doubt, elements of the unknown go on to destroy the confidence of absolute Truth and what is real.
The voices of False Prophets are silenced when Doubt shimmers in the crowd, and Doubt is the very essence of discovery. People who Doubt are willing to abate fear, and they are willing to stand in the midst of ALL who disagree with a plea that could cost them their lives. People who Doubt see something greater, deeper, and they hunger for historical and scientific data which will give us an actual answer.
When we doubt, wanting to touch, feel, and measure what people are saying, this brings us all into accountability and trust. But if we fail to Doubt, our trudging in Religious and Societal delusion will leave us in the wasteland of maybe, fear, and a false way that leads all into bondage.
