Millionaires on Unemployment?

This article explains clearly why this seemingly preposterous scenario is actually not preposterous.

Indeed, it's actually fair.

More hate posts from Jermyn on the wealthy.

It is the law. If you have a job and your employment is covered by state and federal unemployment taxes, you can collect unemployment legally.

Your pal Pelosi says unemployment checks boost the economy.

Re: Millionaires on Unemployment?

Don't they look at your finances first? I mean you can't collect SSI in California if you got a million dollars in the bank. They'd tell you to spend that first before you can collect SSI or Medi-cal

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:

  1. There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
  2. The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
  3. Every sinner must repent of their sins.
  4. That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
  5. That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
  6. The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Unemployment. FUTA covers it. SSI disability etc is a different tax deal. 940 tax returns we submit an unemployment tax on each worker for the first $7,000 of gross earnings each year.
It is on a sliding scale depending on a companies unemployment claims history.

Coadie you're not reading what I have posted.

I cited the article as explaining why something that would seem preposterous is actually fair.

Please take the time to read what I actually type before criticizing.

I am a balanced Conservative.

Are you?

You are neither balanced nor conservative.

No it never seemed preposterous because i have filed 940 forms and paid FUTA and state for decades.

Coadie,

Maybe it never seemed preposterous to you, but it does to others.

The point of this thread was to show that it is not preposterous, but it is actually fair.

Would you like to discuss something that we may agree on in a civil manner?

Its not welfare prax, you pay it in ,your employer matches it.(although my kids all thought of it as welfare and never have filed for anything to this day)

Social security is split with employer. Unemployment taxes are employer only and can't take a nickle from the worker.
