PO, Ferd and other Texans

Did you watch the governor debate?

I really like what I have seen of Debra Medina thus far.

Debra Medina victorious in first Gubernatorial debate
by Nelda Carrizales Skevington on Jan 14, 2010
DALLAS, TX, Thursday, January 14, 2010 – Tonight, Debra Medina not only made big hits in the Republican gubernatorial debate but she scored a homerun for the citizens of Texas. For the first time in 20 years, We Texans had the opportunity to take part in a heavily contested open primary.

“In an all out war of words, Debra Medina championed We Texans on stage,” said Penny Langford Freeman, Medina campaign manager. “It’s been decades since We Texans had the opportunity to vote for a true Texas patriot. Debra Medina did an outstanding job in her first, ever statewide debate.

Her next debate is in Dallas this Friday. I will try and tape it since my hubby doesn't watch any politics.

I'm not ready for Medina right now. I saw some weakness in her during the Perry/Hutchinson/Medina debate. I can't recall the points, I think it was on the health issue. I'd have to go back and find the link. She comes across as informed, but a little too radical. I'll have to watch her a little more.

Just not ready to jump in with her with both feet. She will have a place in the future, I'm just not sure it will be this year.

This world needs some radical change.

I would really like for you to find out what it is that you didn't care for so we can discuss it.

Texas needs Medina. They would be leading the nation in a move in the right direction.

I was totally turned off by one of her meetings in Austin. Some goober cowboy up there screaming we are going to secede from the US. She comes in behind him smiling. Just totally turned me off.

If you discuss secession, don't act like you are going to throw a Confederate Flag over your shoulder.

So that's the issue?

Also... what do you mean by... If you discuss secession don't act like you are going to throw a Confederate flag over your shoulder?

I would think that the Confederate flag and secession go hand in hand.

She and Perry both have mentioned they would consider it if necessary to protect the rights of Texans.

I like what she had said more than Hutchinson or Perry. I voted for Hutchinson for Senator and Perry for governor. But as of now, my vote goes to Medina and I may see about helping her run, which I have NEVER done for anyone. lol

I thought she was very strong on the health issue. Being that she is a nurse she has addressed the health issues first hand.

Obviously, I mean acting like a far out rebel. I just don't like it.

If you are in a tea party, march and speak intelligently. Don't carry signs with Obama looking like Chavez, etc. Let's do this intelligently.
