Drop current Health care bills

If the democrats had half a brain they would drop the current health care bills and start over.
Start with a new bill that is only a few pages long.

New laws would be the following

#1 Remove the antitrust measure that the Ins. co have.
#2 Ins. co can not refuse coverage to anyone.
#3 No caps on coverage.
#4 Ins. co can not drop insured because of a claim.

The republicans would filibuster a bill such as this. Let them filibuster and show the American people what they really are then vote (only 51 votes needed to bass a bill) this bill in and send it to the President to sign.
This will put the Ins. co on the run.

With those requirements either your insurance will be completely unaffordable or there will be no insurance companies.

Rather allow competition across state lines and reform tort laws, things that will truly lower healthcare insurance cost. Insurance companies are in business to make """gasp"" money, otherwise why would they be in business????

Unfortunately, when business and desperate human need meet, it does not always work very well.

You got it. Let the ins co come to the government and beg on bended knees. Then congress can make a new bill with a public option which will lower Ins. cost. """Gasp"""can you believe it the middle class getting lower ins premiums and the uninsured insurance. Will that ever drive the republicans wild.

Oh...I see. You are for the Federal takeover of healthcare and further growth of the Gov machine.

I bet you swear you aren't a Socialist though right?

I fully support the ending of the SS department and privitization of it like GWB advocated. I'm also not fond of the wastefulness and expense of Medicare/Medicaid.

Junk all the Federal "social" programs and let private industry fill the voids. I guarantee they will be more efficient, cheaper and run with far less red tape and beauracracy.

Reagan said it best. The best social program is a job!

Re: Drop current Health care bills

They should just start with fixing the bugs in our current system instead of spending tons of money we don't have to benefit more. Get more people working so they can have health insurance or afford to pay for it. Fix the economy! Once the economy get's rolling and people are back to work then let's talk
