Obama czar: Abolish marriage!?

Obama czar: Abolish marriage!?

CZAR WARS

Sunstein urges: Abolish marriage
Adviser compares institution to country club membership

"Under our proposal, the word marriage would no longer appear in any laws, and marriage licenses would no longer be offered or recognized by any level of government," wrote Sunstein and co-author Richard Thaler in their 2008 book, "Nudge: Improving decisions about health, wealth and happiness"

The same thing has been proposed by Jay Sekulow, not exactly the picture of left wing thought. Not that radical really. The idea is that the state would no longer be involved in an institution that rightfully belongs to the church.

Whoa, but don't you see the potential "floodgates" of immorality this vein of thought could lead to?

No not really. Why would you suggest that when the state removes itself from religion that people will be immoral?

Under our proposal, the word marriage would no longer appear in any laws, and marriage licenses would no longer be offered or recognized by any level of government," wrote Sunstein and co-author Richard Thaler in their 2008 book, "Nudge: Improving decisions about health, wealth and happiness."

And this.

Looks like Obama gets the mental dredges for his selections

Sunstein's proposal regarding marriage is hardly the only controversial section of his book. WND reported last week that in the same book, Sunstein defended the possibility of removing organs from terminally ill patients without their permission.

He also strongly pushed for the removal of organs from deceased individuals who did not explicitly consent to becoming organ donors.

Sunstein and Thaler discussed multiple legal scenarios regarding organ donation. One possibility presented in the book, termed by Sunstein as "routine removal," posits that "the state owns the rights to body parts of people who are dead or in certain hopeless conditions, and it can remove their organs without asking anyone's permission."

"Though it may sound grotesque, routine removal is not impossible to defend," wrote Sunstein. "In theory, it would save lives, and it would do so without intruding on anyone who has any prospect for life."

But the body doesn't become state property at death.

"Dregs." You meant "mental dregs."

A "dredge" is a powerful machine which digs up the "dregs."

The "dregs" are the things that have settled to the bottom and often times must be dredged up, or in the case of a wine glass or tea cup, simply rinsed out.

I'm here for you, buddy!

Marriage "licenses" are a relatively new feature to the human courtship ritual. I remember when I and my pretty bride-to-be went down to the courthouse to get the paperwork. All I had to do was to fill in the blanks. She had to collect a form, schedule a doctor's appointment and be screened for syphilis.

What!

Even though I already knew the process for our state before I even went down there, when I was faced with this demand I felt angry. I wanted to hold my fiancé and defend her honor against ... well, you get the picture. But we had to comply with the state's demand for a pelvic examination, etc.

It was like "Jus primae noctis." I felt like I had let her down.

Then it will not be illegal to have more than one wife or husband because the state is not involved. That is if you can afford more than one. ;-)

That was one of the steps after gay marriage. Bestiality and pedophilia. Muslims like Mohammad married 5-6 year olds.

Obama had a mother and step mom at the same time. His dad had 2 wives.

Taking the state out of marriage ceremonies will not make pedophilia legal. If someone has sex with a minor, it will still be a crime.
