Grassroots Pentecostals...
Was just visiting wedeclare.org, and read again the About Us page...one word, or two, depending on who's writing the info, jumped out at me...grassroots...
From wedeclare.org:
As grassroots UPCI members we hold fast the faith delivered into our hands.
We feel there are many grassroots members who have felt their voice is unheard.
What IS a 'grasseroots Pentecostal'?!
Please do not refer me to wedeclare.org for the answer...I mean, whe ARE the 'grassroots Pentecostals'?! Not looking for names, but an example of what it is.
Here is the definition I found online for grassroots...
Noun 1. grass roots - the essential foundation or source; "the problem was attacked at the grass roots"
foundation - the basis on which something is grounded; "there is little foundation for his objections"
2. grass roots - the common people at a local level (as distinguished from the centers of political activity)
plural, plural form - the form of a word that is used to denote more than one
common people, folk, folks - people in general (often used in the plural); "they're just country folk"; "folks around here drink moonshine"; "the common people determine the group character and preserve its customs from one generation to the next"
