Abortionist George Tiller Gunned Down in Church
George Tiller was gunned down in his church in Wichita, Kansas today, as he ushered and his wife sang in the choir.
This is a terrible act of violence, but I find it difficult to have compassion for the "Butcher of Wichita", his cup became full and his vile seed has produced the harvest of what he has been sowing for many years....death.

Re: Abortionist George Tiller Gunned Down in Churc
To say my feelings are mixed about this is an understatement of the massive kind.
Any violence by OUR side does nothing but set the movement back, yet to envision this guy chopping up near-term babies almost makes me wish he was the victim of some ultra-violent act in a typical Quentin Tarantino film.
I keep seeing his face on Yahoo's main web page, and it makes me look away in disgust.

....and then my temper is tempered by thoughts of "this guy could have been saved just like I was".

Interesting way to prove you believe in the sanctity of life.
Hopefully the shooter was Evangelical, preferably Apostolic.
We need more witnesses such as this to prove just how full of God's love we are.

These are specifically late-term abortions that this clown did (not meaning to give the clowns of the world a bad name). These are babies that could have been born and placed in an incubator at which point people would be ooooooo'ing and ahhhhhhhh'ing and even shedding a few tears for their plight.

His killer was just as misguided as Mr. Tiller, but make no mistake about it Mr. Tiller's time was up.
He is as we speak being instructed in the Way more perfectly.

That is the irony... if they were "wanted" babies and died a violent death there would be candlelight vigils and a funeral... bizarre.

Re: Abortionist George Tiller Gunned Down in Churc
This is absolutely senseless. This man deserved to be prayed for not preyed upon. This is what I fear so much about our rhetoric. We chant "murder, murder, murder" until some believer with emotional problems get's so caught up and broken over the issue they loose it and shoot someone. It's like the Imans who chant "great satan, great satan, great satan" until some young Islamic man blows himself up in a corner grocery store. I understand the seriousness of this moral issue.... but our rhetoric needs to be tempered with wisdom not fanaticism.
Another thing, women choose abortion. Doctors don't force women to abort. Why not track and shoot women who choose to murder their babies??? Women who choose abortion are the real cold blooded killers.
The difficult reality is something we all need to accept. Like it or not, women have this choice. Over thirty years of battling this politically and there's been little to no change. This is obviously a spiritual issue that can only be resolved by preaching, prayer, and charitable assistance to women in crisis pregnancies. I vote we accept that choice exists. And now our war should be to give women every possible reason to choose life. After that all we can do is let it go and put it in God's hands. They will answer to God for their choices if they were unnecessary.
