Re: Did Tom Clancy tell the Terrorists how?
tJJJ,
I agree with others than the concept was not new but it is amazing that something fictional authors had come up with and were obviously plausible scenarios did not set off warning signs that we should guard against that.
One of the strangest things I found after 9-11 was that somewhere in the East (not an Arab country surprisinglly but I believe somehwere like Malyasia) somebody was selling a 2001 calendar many months before 9-11 that had a depiction of one or two planes smashing into the twin towers. That is not one of those conspriacy rumors but was a factual news story that was veriried. As was the fact that a teenage Pakastani student at a private NYC school got mad at his teacher and just a couple of days before 9-11 pointed out the window at the world trade center towers and told his teacher that in a couple of days they would no longer be there. His dad was a Pakastani diplomat at either their NYC Embassy or the United Nations and I believe they got out of the country quickly. The teacher reported the incident after the towers fell. Those are documented isntances not the crazy conspiracy theory stuff I abhor.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
