Request from India

I received a message from some friends who are currently in India with the ALJC.

"Hey there! Things have been somewhat crazy here! Josh has been sick for the last 4 weeks...the doctors in Mizoram thought that it was his appendix but would not operate on him. So we though that it was important to get him checked out somewhere better so now we are in Chennai. The doctors here seem to be much better and we will have the test results tomorrow!
When we left Mizoram all of us cried! It absolutely broke my heart to leave. I am still praying that nothing will be wrong so that hopefully we could get back to Mizoram before graduation. I really liked it there and Zion did so well there also! Some cried just cause she was leaving...So that is what is going on now. Please remember us in your prayers!! We love you guys and we are so thankful for you and your family"

Please keep the Barsotti's in your prayers.

Re: Request from India

They were apprehensive about going to India to help at first. I am glad they are having a positive experience with it. Except for Josh getting sick.

Re: Request from India

I will be praying all is well. AT 49 years old I just had my appendix taken out a couple of months ago.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
