Did Obama Close the Deal?

Obama has an amazing ability to talk. What we don't know is how much of it is true. I get the feeling he will say anything, twist and turn it any way necessary to position himself in a positive light.

But can the American people "separate the precious, from the vile"?

Re: Did Obama Close the Deal?

My best friend talked to one of her friends in Washington D.C. today and the word on the street is that Obama has NOT closed the deal there. That news hasn't changed since he started running.

Re: Did Obama Close the Deal?

According to every poll by various major networks Obama won the debate by double digits. IF that's the case, this election is over.

John McCain clearly had his strongest debate and won the first 30 minutes, IMO. If the result is still that lopsided, then voters have made their minds up and are settled on BO. It's hard to imagine John McCain changing enough minds if he didn't start that process tonight.

Well that is the thing. I was gonna start a thread on that...

Who really believes Obama or McCain will be able to deliver on their campaign promises. They might as well promise you the moon because apparently a lot of people fall for it.

Obama says he is gonna cut taxes on households under 250k....so then I wonder WHO is gonna pay back that 800 billion dollar bailout? Unrealistic. He will be raising taxes which is typical for Democrats.

McCain and his 5k tax credit for health care? The Government is in a tight place financially...ain't gonna happen

Re: Did Obama Close the Deal?

This election, with the first black man running in one of the major parties, lends itself for the polls to be even more loaded to the Democratic ticket. In every election in the last 20 years, with the exception of 2004 the polls were very heavy to the Demo's.

Obama is gifted, but does he have character.

As far back as I can remember the polls ALWAYS show the dems winning, even when they dont win, so polls mean nothing.

Re: Did Obama Close the Deal?

McCain was at his best last night. He said it well when he spoke of OBAMA's ability to be a good orator but his ability to tell the truth and to follow through with promises has no foundation in history or judgement. I think when it is all said and done - those saying they will vote for Obama, when it gets down to it - will consider his lack of experience and know that troubled times call for someone with much more leadership ability and proven history.

Go MCCAIN/PALIN

Blessings, Rhoni
